Have No Fear: Creative Interventions Are Here!

CE Hours 2 2 Clinical

About this course

This is a training for hesitant therapists who want to incorporate expressive arts into their clinical practice but are nervous to do so. Afraid of art supplies? Muddled by music? Daunted by dance? Petrified of poetry? Wary of writing? Perplexed of play? But secretly you really want to try these techniques with your clients? Then this training is for you! Discover the exciting ways to use creative interventions with clients of all ages. In this training, you'll explore innovative strategies for integrating expressive arts (art, music, writing, movement, and play) into your practice – even if these domains are not in your skill set. Explore methods of making therapy fun and creative for all ages while still meeting treatment needs. Learn to design comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate the expressive arts, evaluate the effectiveness of using the expressive arts in therapy, and navigate ethical considerations. Through interactive exercises and case studies, discover the effectiveness in promoting emotional expression and creativity for clients of all ages. While this is a playful training, we will also be discussing treatment planning and ethics for the expressive arts.

Please note: participants will be watching a recorded video.
