We have all heard of using journaling as a tool in therapy. Your client agrees but then what? Join us for this 1.5-hour experiential workshop where we will examine Pennebaker’s research, and learn specific strategies and tools to assign therapeutic journaling to your clients. This course will help you connect the dots between theory and application. Our two case studies include clients with traumatic brain injuries and intellectual disability. We will focus on making journaling accessible to all of our clients. Participants will be guided through trauma-informed specific techniques with opportunities to try practical prompts. You will leave with concrete strategies you can apply immediately with your clients.
Detailed handout included.
Please note: participants will be watching a recorded video.
