Our dynamic approach combines engaging lectures, real-world case studies, and hands-on practice to ensure you leave with both the knowledge and the confidence to foster resilience and healing in those you serve. Recording: This class will be recorded and made available within 2 hours after the live lecture. Recordings are available for 90 days after the class.

Learning Objectives

  • Differentiate between Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Post Traumatic Growth (PTG).
  • Explain psychoeducation to clients on trauma-informed care.
  • Identify 4 trauma-informed interventions to obtain PTG.
  • Analyze how cultural background influences the experience of trauma.
  • Develop strategies for self-care and resilience to maintain effectiveness as a mental health professional.

  • Samantha Silverman, LCSW

    Samantha Silverman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in Post-Traumatic Growth. She owns Silver Linings Mental Health, a group counseling practice in Colorado that focuses on trauma-informed care. Samantha has shared her expertise through numerous interviews, podcasts, and continuing education seminars on resilience after tragedy. As a survivor of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, she also spent a decade working with Holocaust Survivors.

ASWB ACE credit is approved for the United States and Canada.*

*New Jersey regulations state the following regarding acceptable sources of continuing education for Social Workers: "Attendance at programs or courses approved by boards that license social work practice in other states: one credit for each hour of attendance." Many State Boards accept ASWB ACE credit for Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Addiction Professionals. It is the participant's responsibility to check with their individual state board to verify continuing education requirements for their state.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

Please note: All refund requests will be honored if they are made within 24 hours prior to the course less a $10 processing fee. There are no refunds for participants who “no show.”

Attendee video feeds and mics are turned off by default when entering a webinar. You will be able to ask questions via the Q&A feature.
