I'm a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LMHC) based in Brooklyn, New York. My experiences as a first- generation, Lebanese- American have helped to inform the way that I practice therapy. I work with adults who are navigating LGBTQIA+ identities, survivors of trauma with a strong focus on race-based and intergenerational traumas, and individuals with concerns related to depression, anxiety, self- worth, and relationships and intimacy.

My approach to psychotherapy is collaborative and somatic- based, integrating my training in multiple modalities such as: internal family systems, somatic experiencing, and brainspotting. I work from a trauma- informed perspective and use an intersectional lens to understand your experience in the context of systemic oppression and injustice. Together we will gain insight into the roots of your challenges and build a deeper understanding of your nervous system to promote long- term healing.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and hold a Master of Arts in Counseling with 8 years of experience. I have worked previously in private practice and as a Clinical Program Therapist at the Department of Corrections. I specialize in working with adult individuals through life transitions, stress, grief, trauma, and religious trauma. Though I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach by drawing from an array of therapeutic modalities, my practice is grounded in a person-centered, psychodynamic, depth-oriented, body-based approach. As a professional counselor, I value practicing regular mind, body, spirit self-care that allows me to serve from the overflow. I further place high value on doing my own work through a lifetime commitment to personal and professional growth and evolution.
