The Curious Voyage
Mental health professionals regularly witness the profound impact of habitual thought patterns, internalized beliefs, and self-protective responses on client functioning and relationships. This 8-class series integrates neuroscience, mindfulness-based strategies, and cognitive-behavioral principles to help clinicians deepen self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and enhance clinical decision-making. Participants will explore the role of conditioned beliefs, internal “parts,” and protective patterns in shaping behavior and will learn values-based and intention-focused interventions designed to foster cognitive flexibility, nervous system regulation, and authentic connection.
By examining their own internal responses and practicing evidence-informed techniques such as cognitive reframing, parts-based exploration, and somatic anchoring, clinicians will strengthen their therapeutic presence, reduce countertransference risk, and model regulation for clients. Improved clinician self-awareness and regulation are directly linked to better therapeutic alliance, ethical decision-making, and positive client outcomes. This workshop offers a dynamic blend of lecture, theory, self-reflection, and experiential practice.
